A space can be completely transformed when design responds to a new purpose.
This project is located in Barrio de Salamanca, Madrid, where a residential apartment was reimagined as a boutique office for a British company in the financial sector.
The goal was to balance functionality, professionalism, and comfort, creating an environment that supports both focused work and a welcoming client experience.
The client was the CEO of the company, who required a fully representative figure for the project, coordinating every stage from London to Madrid.
This role involved aligning different teams in both cities, managing multiple suppliers, and working closely with the local builder throughout the process.
This comprehensive coordination ensured a seamless execution and a clear translation of the company’s needs, values, and identity into the final space.
Design is not just about aesthetics
Design is not just about aesthetics — it’s about understanding how a space is lived in… and how it is worked in.
Key transformations included:
Client reception area designed to welcome visitors with calm, discretion, and professionalism
Workspaces planned to encourage concentration, order, and efficiency
Bathroom renovation, replacing the bathtub with a modern walk-in shower for greater comfort and a more contemporary feel
Kitchen and terrace integrated as support and break areas, promoting well-being throughout the working day
Corporate identity and values woven into the space through artwork and design elements, strengthening the connection with the London headquarters

Equally important was preserving the company’s corporate identity. Through carefully selected artwork, the space creates a visual thread with the company’s headquarters in London, reinforcing continuity across locations. Corporate values were also integrated into the design, acting as a daily reminder of the team’s vision and purpose.
